Everyone’s weight loss needs are different.
That’s why our approach is personalized and comprehensive.
Each New Profile program is tailored to individual needs and based
on a patient’s medical history and current condition.
Profile Plus is a program for individuals
needing to lose approximately 35 pounds or more, with a Body Mass
Index (BMI) of 30 or greater. During the "jump start"
phase, patients go on OPTIFAST®, a highly nutritional meal replacement
for the first 12 weeks. Patients on this low-calorie diet see the
doctor, on average, every other week to closely monitor blood sugars
and other vital levels. An individualized exercise program, plans
for ongoing nutrition and long-term behavior modification is introduced
into each patient’s regime every week.
Profile is a program
for the patient needing to lose between 20 and 30 pounds with a
BMI between 25 and 30. This program employs an 800-calorie diet
(OPTIFAST®) over six weeks, bi-weekly doctor visits (on average)
and support sessions that educate patients on the importance of
maintaining a healthy diet, steady exercise and a lifestyle which
fosters both.
PRO-FIT offers another
option for those people looking to lose between 10 and 25 pounds. This
program includes a partial meal replacement, lifestyle modification,
dietary and exercise counseling.
Here’s how it begins
Patients come in for a complete physical with the doctor, as well
as an EKG, body fat analysis, weight, blood pressure, measurements
and metabolic testing. At this time, the patient also gets a complete
overview of what the program involves. The patient is then enrolled
in the appropriate New Profile program. Each program entails
a once a week commitment for two hours. |
